Rasna (Vanda Roxburghii)
Rasna has been extensively used by Ayurvedic physicians in treating the vata diseases, especially, adhyavata (vata disease in the thigh region) in particular. Anti-inflammatory
Rasana reduces arthritic pain and inflammation by inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-a, INF-g, IL-6.
Immunosuppressive
Rasna inhibits both humoral & cell-mediated immune response and reduces autoimmune induce joint pain, inflammation and stiffness.
Antioxidant Activity
Rasna helps in reducing oxidative damage in arthritis. Flavonoids from the plant work as scavengers of free radicals and potent inhibitors of inflammatory mediators.
