Omega-3 FA (EPA/DHA 80:20)

Regulates lipids metabolism: Omega-3 fatty acids reduces the synthesis and secretion of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) particles, and increase TG removal from VLDL and chylomicron particles through the upregulation of enzymes, such as lipoprotein lipase.
Attenuates platelet function: Omega 3 and Omega -6 PUFA oxylipin metabolites regulates platelet function and prevents platelet aggregation though COX-2 inhibition.
Prevents atherosclerotic plaque: Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids decreases intercellular adhesive interactions; pro‐inflammatory cytokines and inhibits lipid peroxidation in blood vessels.
Increase insulin sensitivity: Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) counteract insulin resistance development by modulating mitochondrial bioenergetics and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.
